OUTREACH

Round Grove United Church has several ways for the congregation to provide outreach to the community.

  • Christian Community Action Food Pantry Shelf: There are five slots ($20/each) available each month – if you wish to donate one or more slots, please sign up on the form located on the Narthex table.
  • Christian Community Action Kids Eat Free Summer Lunch Program.  During the summer, volunteers help assemble and deliver lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Christian Community Action Back to School Program: We have collected many items for this Family Summer Sunday School Mission Project.
  • Christian Community Action Giving Tree Program: During the Christmas season, there is a Giving Tree in the Narthex. You may remove one or more tags, purchase the gift(s) and then bring your unwrapped gift(s) forward during the Chancel Voices Christmas Program during Worship.
  • Christian Community Action Food Drive: During the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday season, we collect specific food items for the CCA Holiday Food Baskets.
  • CROP Hunger Walk: Our Youth and others of the congregation have participated in this annual fundraising campaign for Metrocrest Service Center and Church World Services.
  • Special Offerings: Round Grove United Church UCC collects several special offerings through the year including — One Great Hour of Sharing, Our Church’s Wider Mission, Neighbors in Need, the Christmas Fund, and Strengthen the Church. On Christmas Eve, the offerings not designated for the General Fund, are collected for Eden Hill Communities.
  • City of Lewisville’s Western Days: In September 2014, Round Grove United Church UCC had a booth for the first time at Western Days.  Youth, Members, and Friends of the Congregation spoke with people about the church, took prayer requests, and passed out literature.
  • Cooks for Christ: A new program to assist those in the church who are experiencing difficulties (death in the family, hospitalization, financial or other hardship).
